About the Role

Our platform powers leading companies such as Adyen, Intuit QuickBooks, and Google by delivering payment initiation, bank data access, and pre-built products that enable businesses to innovate rapidly and push the boundaries of financial technology. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will architect and oversee highly scalable, secure web applications, services, and APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability. You will champion AI-native development workflows by integrating AI coding agents to improve developer velocity, code quality, and maintainability across the team. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and stakeholders, you will help shape the technical roadmap by translating complex requirements into elegant and scalable solutions. You will define technical standards, lead robust code review processes, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence. Additionally, you will work with Support and Customer Success teams to proactively troubleshoot and resolve critical customer issues. This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in Open Banking and PSD2, pushing the boundaries of what can be built with our APIs while working in a dynamic startup environment focused on innovation and impact.

Experience
- Expert-level experience with Java and the Spring Framework
- Proven track record in distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Experience architecting and overseeing scalable, secure web applications, services, and APIs
- Familiarity with Open Banking and PSD2 is highly desirable
