Salary
Senior Building Control Surveyor (Grade 8): £42,060 - £50,085 per annum (£52,194 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance-related progression) plus £5,000 annual market supplement paid monthly
Principal Building Control Surveyor (Grade 9): £49,056 - £57,402 per annum (£59,511 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance-related progression) plus £20,000 annual market supplement paid monthly
About the Role
The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a Registered Building Inspector at either Senior or Principal level with membership of a recognised Building Control body (e.g. RICS/CABE). You will manage a range of domestic and commercial applications under the Building Regulations in line with your accreditation level, with opportunities to develop your competency further during your career. The role includes contributing to team activities such as dangerous structures, enforcement and demolition notices, and supporting the learning and development of less experienced staff.

The role requires daily site visits to Sutton, with hybrid working arrangements available. Experience
Professional qualification granting membership to a recognised Building Control body (e.g. RICS/CABE). Experience working in Building Control, ideally within Local Government. Proven ability to manage domestic and commercial projects in line with Building Safety accreditation levels. Experience in enforcement, dangerous structures, and demolition notices is desirable.
