About the Role
This is a new and exciting opportunity to join a high performing team focused on delivering for both exporters and the business. The role holder will make a significant contribution to export growth through business development activities outlined in UK Export Finance's (UKEF) Business Development Strategy. Working closely with Export Finance Managers (EFMs) across three regional teams and the wider network, you will support the representation, promotion, and delivery of UKEF support, products, and services to exporting businesses, stakeholders, and counterparties.

Key responsibilities include implementing and delivering the Business Development Strategy in collaboration with the Head of UK Business Development, supporting UKEF's 2024-2029 Business Plan aligned with UK Government strategies, building relationships with key external stakeholders to enhance UKEF's profile, and supporting EFMs in delivering sector-focused initiatives. You will also represent UKEF at external events, ensure business development activities are relevant to devolved administrations, and use data and AI tools to target new customers and sectors effectively.

The role involves being an ambassador for UKEF, proactively creating opportunities to raise awareness of its products and services through presentations, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops. You will contribute to product innovation by providing market feedback and collaborate across departments to maintain a positive working environment. A sound understanding of government export policies is essential to clearly communicate their impact to business and stakeholders.

This role requires periodic travel across the UK and the ability to work outside traditional office hours as needed.

Experience
Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders.
Experience working with trading businesses and developing business opportunities by building relationships and trust.
Experience supporting business development initiatives and working collaboratively across teams.

Qualifications
5 GCSE passes (including Maths and English) at Grade 4 (C) or above; or relevant professional experience.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
