About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking Senior Commercial and Procurement Managers to join our growing Defence Team, working within the UK Defence Sector. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the most challenging and impactful projects in both the Public and Private Defence sectors. As a Senior Commercial / Procurement Manager, you will support Defence clients throughout the entire commercial lifecycle, delivering world-class outcomes. Responsibilities include procurement and commercial strategy development, end-to-end contract management, risk and performance management, negotiation, governance and compliance, business analysis, and continuous improvement. You will engage with senior stakeholders, lead teams, and drive supplier and category management strategies to maximise value and innovation. This role requires a proactive approach to managing complex commercial issues and delivering excellence in a dynamic environment.

Security Clearance
Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, applicants must be SOLE UK Nationals eligible to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Holding current SC clearance is desirable but not essential to apply.

Experience
- Extensive commercial experience within relevant sectors, ideally Defence
- Applied knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and sourcing
- Ability to determine suitable commercial approaches, balancing risk and outcomes
- Experience with programme, portfolio, and project management tools
- Proven track record in tender evaluation and commercial decision-making
- Development and assurance of business cases, commercial strategies, and contracting approaches
- Contract and supplier management to maximise value, motivate performance, and drive innovation
- Proactive supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement
- Leadership experience including coaching, mentoring, and strategic direction
- Experience managing complex, controversial issues and chairing meetings with senior stakeholders
- Supplier relationship and category management expertise

Qualifications
- Professional qualification(s) in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Training or experience in Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), Public Contract Regulations (PCR), and/or the Procurement Act 2023
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC)
