You will join the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA), a centre of infrastructure expertise created to support the government’s 10 Year Infrastructure Strategy and reform agenda. You will apply strong technical expertise in Python programming, version control with Git, and collaborate with Data and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure robust, scalable solutions. You will communicate complex data science outputs clearly to senior leaders, enabling confident, evidence-based decision making.
You will also mentor and support junior colleagues, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning and innovation through activities such as innovation days and Python clubs. This role offers significant opportunities to deepen your technical and project management skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing data science products (including Python Plotly Dash and Next.js apps), expanding advanced AI tools across government, providing guidance on best practices, and ensuring user-centric product development through collaboration with multiple partners.
