About the Role
This pivotal role at Heathrow leads the development of integrated, coherent, and fit-for-purpose design solutions focused on highways and structural assets to enable sustainable growth across the airport. You will deliver complex infrastructure supporting Heathrow's expansion and long-term objectives, ensuring safety, security, constructability, operability, and maintainability are embedded at every design stage. The role requires a strategic, system-wide perspective to align design solutions with Heathrow's vision, supporting passenger and airline growth, planning requirements, and efficient, cost-effective delivery. Solutions must be resilient and adaptable, supporting high-performing assets throughout their lifecycle. You will promote engineering excellence, innovation, and value by encouraging best practices and exploring new technologies to address complex challenges. Collaborating across multiple disciplines, you will help translate strategic ambition into practical delivery, creating safe, efficient, and sustainable environments for all airport users.

Experience
Proven experience in civil, structural, and highways design engineering within complex infrastructure projects. Demonstrated ability to lead integrated design solutions and work collaboratively across multiple disciplines. Experience in delivering projects that meet safety, security, constructability, operability, and maintainability standards is essential.
