About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Design Manager to manage the design aspects of tenders and projects in progress within the London business. This position is office and project based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.

You will establish, maintain and manage effective project design resource and team profile at bid and delivery stages. You will lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for the customer and key partners and suppliers at bid and delivery stages. You will manage and coordinate safely the overall design process through the RIBA design stages, challenging the brief and bringing innovation and continuous improvement benefits to the projects.

Responsibilities include ensuring completion and compliance of design management departmental procedures, involvement with design strategy and approach, adherence to the design brief and scope of service, programming and managing all design reviews and coordination meetings, and ensuring fully coordinated design strategy is in place. You will work closely with discipline lead designers to deliver coordinated design solutions and ensure design development aligns with commercial and construction requirements and cost plan budget allowances.

Experience
- Significant experience in the main contracting market with involvement in preconstruction and construction phases on Healthcare, Leisure and Public sector schemes.
- Experience with DFE and Public Sector frameworks.
- Experience on both single stage and two stage tenders.

Qualifications
- HNC or HND (or equivalent) in Design Management or other commercially related subject and/or CIOB Membership.
