You will design, build and evolve platform capabilities used by engineering teams across NewDay. You will take ownership of complex technical problems from solution design through to production delivery. Writing high-quality, maintainable code and championing engineering best practices through code reviews, pairing and mentoring will be key responsibilities. You will partner with architects, product teams and fellow engineers to shape scalable, resilient solutions and drive improvements in software quality, operational excellence and developer experience. Additionally, you will build and enhance Continuous Delivery pipelines to enable safe, frequent and reliable deployments, contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions across the wider engineering community, and leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot thoughtfully to improve developer productivity and code quality.

Experience
- Strong proficiency in crafting modern .NET applications using C# 12+ (including .NET 8+ and NuGet)
- Experience designing and working with microservices and event-driven architectures
- Expertise in crafting robust HTTP APIs with tools such as ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Carter, or Nancy
- Experience navigating Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud environments
- Proven experience with Event-Driven Architecture, designing systems that react in real-time
- Experience with DevOps practices, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Octopus)
- Knowledge of Event-Sourced Systems, building architectures that track every state change
- Ability to thrive in autonomous, agile environments where daily innovation is the norm
