Introduction The Office of the Executive, headed by the Clerk of the House and the Director General (Operations), exists to support the executive and drive forward strategic initiatives across the organisation. The office contains key executive functions, including the private offices of the Clerk and the Director General (Operations), Communications Office, Corporate Resilience Team, General Election Planning team and the Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) team. The Role The Senior Diversity and Inclusion Manager is responsible for providing strategic advice and operational support to meet corporate goals, including delivery of our Inclusion and Diversity Strategy. You will have responsibility for leading and developing our race-specific work but will be working across all diversity characteristics. Reporting to the Director of Inclusion and Diversity, you will apply your senior-level I&D practitioner knowledge and experience to developprojects and programmes, including learning and development interventions, for multiple stakeholders in a complex environment. You will have experience of using the Equality Act 2010 in your work and utilising and embedding good practice models in inclusion and diversity, with a focus on race and ethnicity. You will have excellent customer service skills, building effective relationships while delivering projects or programmes. You will provide support to our Workplace Equality Networks (WENs) and work collaboratively with the Inclusion and Diversity team in the House of Lords. Some of the responsibilities for this role include: Develop and deliver action/programme plans, including monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating the whole cycle of the action/programme plan to identify, eliminate and/or reduce any risks and progress delivery. Assist teams to improve and embed the principles of inclusion and diversity by developing and co-designing projects and programmes, with a particular focus on race. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement, ownership and effective outcomes to embed sustained cultural change. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrable knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and good practice models, with experience of applying these to improve outcomes and support cultural change. Experience of delivering and advising on effective learning interventions in a complex setting, with a focus on race and ethnicity. Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior leaders and challenging stakeholders, using good judgement and influencing skills. Experience of planning, managing and delivering work (your own and others' work) to meet tight deadlines, often in ambiguous and changing circumstances. Ability to analyse complex information, and effectively communicate findings, to make evidence-based proposals and timely decisions.
