About the Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the Parole Board has members capable of delivering their required tasks. You will oversee and ensure delivery of clear learning pathways for members, including core training and accreditation, aligned with organisational needs. By assessing data to identify capability gaps, you will improve and maintain a consistent approach enabling members to deliver the objectives of the Parole Board Business Plan and make quality decisions.
You will support members’ wellbeing and tenure management, working closely with the Senior Quality Assurance and Learning Manager to identify development opportunities that enhance members’ skills and contribute to the Board’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include assessing capability needs, setting strategic development and delivery of core Member Learning and Development programmes, managing accreditation programmes, digitising learning, and leading a team of six.
In the first six months, you will deliver core learning and development for MCA and Chair training, manage accreditation programmes for NMI (Nov 25 and Jan 26), MCA, and Chair training, and build strong relationships to support member progression.
The role requires strategic leadership to produce and implement a learning and development strategy, promote a culture of transparency and fairness, and contribute to organisational priorities. You will also be responsible for progressing members through accreditation, maintaining data and records, delivering core L&D programmes including induction and specialist training, embedding e-learning systems, and fostering collaborative relationships internally and externally.
Management of a team of up to six and other duties as assigned by senior leadership are also part of this role.
