As part of our continued growth towards our 2025 vision, we seek a Senior Portfolio Manager who will work closely with Portfolio Directors, client leadership teams, and project teams to deliver best-in-class Portfolio and Portfolio Management Office services for global, national, and regional portfolios.
In this role, you will focus on converting strategy into delivery, optimising portfolio performance, driving strategic capital planning, and achieving sustained success against annual portfolio objectives. You will implement robust, standardised, and integrated ways of working to ensure efficient and effective delivery of portfolio outcomes. You will establish and maintain portfolio governance, performance management, and assurance frameworks, ensuring high-quality reporting, data integrity, and financial oversight.
As a trusted partner to portfolio leadership, you will provide visibility, challenge, and insight into portfolio performance, identifying risks, supporting informed decision-making, and aligning project delivery teams with portfolio and business objectives. Your leadership will drive compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, contributing directly to successful commission performance, a strategically aligned and competitive portfolio, and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate high-performing teams to embed, govern, and assure portfolio management frameworks and control processes.
- Operationally lead small to medium scale transformation and real estate portfolios and materially impact large-scale portfolios.
- Ensure adherence to governance, contractual deliverables, and risk management requirements.
- Maintain RAID logs, registers, trackers, and reporting mechanisms to a high standard.
- Collaborate with internal and client leads to support strategic performance and business value.
- Implement and oversee effective reporting cycles with accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.
- Leverage data analytics to provide real-time insights for confident decision-making.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programme efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders, clients, and stakeholders.
- Develop and embed stakeholder management plans and communicate effectively across groups.
- Prepare professional presentations and status reports for leadership and governance forums.
- Drive financial monitoring, budget updates, cost reporting, procurement, and contract administration.
- Lead risk identification and integration of safeguards including health and safety.

Experience
- Proven experience managing portfolios or programmes, preferably in Real Estate, Infrastructure, or Capital Projects sectors.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-profile delivery environments with strong organisational skills and sound judgement.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio, programme, and project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and controls, with relevant accreditation or practical application (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, P3O, APM).
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Expertise in establishing and maintaining portfolio or programme controls including RAID management, action tracking, change control, dependency management, governance, and assurance activities.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including interpreting performance data, monitoring KPIs, producing executive-level reports, and developing management dashboards.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior-level stakeholders to build trust and realise successful outcomes.
- Experience leading portfolio or programme financial management activities including forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and financial governance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and programme management tools, reporting systems, and digital platforms with a proactive approach to data, innovation, and technology adoption.

Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
