About the Role
Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in Power or Infrastructure projects? Can you drive commercial success across complex, high-value projects? Laing O'Rourke is a key construction partner on the Letchmore Heath Substation project, a major infrastructure upgrade for National Grid in Watford. We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in central London.

In this role, you will manage all commercial and quantity surveying duties across allocated work packages including measurement, valuation, and agreement of works. You will prepare and manage interim applications and payment certifications, draft and close out subcontracts, and provide monthly cost reporting and commercial forecasting. Your responsibilities will also include preparation, management, and negotiation of claims and final accounts, identifying, pricing, and managing change control processes, and advising project teams on contractual obligations, commercial risks, and opportunities.

You will produce contract reviews, BPR information, and management reports, support project budget establishment from contract award stage, and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Additionally, you will mentor and support junior commercial team members, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience in power or major infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage commercial aspects of complex projects

Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- RICS membership desirable but not essential
