As a Senior Security Engineer, you will collaborate with software development teams to ensure we keep our customers safe while developing these novel services. Your daily work may include inspecting application code for security issues, building frameworks to help developers build faster and more securely, or fine-tuning the design of new services alongside software developers.
The ideal candidate combines technical acumen with an ability to lead by influence and communicate clearly. You will be a security generalist with one or more areas of deep expertise and will articulate risks effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will harmonize differing opinions and prioritize risks to guide partners toward secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain threat models for a wide variety of software projects
- Perform manual and automated secure code reviews primarily in Java, Python, and JavaScript
- Develop security automation tools
- Conduct adversarial security analysis using novel tools to augment manual efforts
- Provide security training and outreach for internal development teams
- Offer security architecture and design guidance
- Independently solve security problems requiring novel methods or approaches
- Influence team and partner processes, priorities, and choices to improve outcomes
- Be at the forefront of AI adoption in process and tooling

Experience
- Professional experience in scripting, programming, and security code reviewing in common programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting system issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command line tools
- Experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans
- Knowledge of industry-based security vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Experience scaling security reviews with AI/LLM technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and web services
