About the Role
Promote the wellbeing of Kingston residents and support the team in achieving high levels of performance while assisting vulnerable residents in adherence with relevant legislative frameworks. Work alongside the team manager and other senior practitioners to maintain good performance within the team and allocate cases effectively. Take budget responsibilities including approval of care plans, Care Act Assessments, care reviews, Mental Capacity Assessments, and Best Interest Meetings. Carry out regular supervision with qualified and unqualified staff, supporting and motivating the team to aid staff retention. Fully manage a caseload including people with complex needs in accordance with the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.

The Surbiton and Chessington Hub supports vulnerable residents under the Care Act 2014. It is a highly performing team comprising qualified and unqualified members, senior practitioners, and a Team Manager. Experience
- Registered with Social Work England
- Sound knowledge and relevant work experience of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant legislation
- Demonstrable understanding of the principles and application of excellent adult social care
- Experience managing competing demands and complex caseloads
- Experience supporting team leaders and senior practitioners in running the team
- Demonstrable experience of creating effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ideally experience supervising staff members and managing budget responsibilities

About You
Strong literacy, numeracy, interpersonal, and IT skills are essential. You are motivated to support vulnerable residents and work collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.

Qualifications
Registered Social Worker status with Social Work England is essential.
