About the Role
As Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Coordinator, you will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of statutory and non-statutory Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Services within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. You will provide administrative support across all areas of the service in line with statutory legislation and local authority policies. Working collaboratively as part of a team, you will learn and support business processes while identifying opportunities for improvement. Professional development is encouraged to increase your knowledge and support career progression. You will also provide deputy cover for Registration Officers in accordance with Registration legislation, including birth and death registrations, and deputise for the Superintendent Registrar in taking notices of intention to marry or form a civil partnership.

Kingston Register Office serves customers registering births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships, and stillbirths. It also provides access to records and certificate ordering. The service operates across two sites: the Guildhall in Kingston town centre and the Bereavement Office at Kingston Cemetery.

Kingston is a vibrant and diverse university town located in zone 6 with excellent transport links in and out of London. The borough offers an idyllic riverside setting, a mix of modern and historic town centres, open parklands, cycle routes, good shopping, and great restaurants. The council is passionate about working closely with residents and vulnerable groups to support independence and balance between support and independent living.
