About the Role
As Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Coordinator, you will contribute to delivering effective and efficient statutory and non-statutory Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Services within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. You will provide administrative support across all areas of the service in line with statutory legislation and local authority policies. Working collaboratively within a team, you will learn and support business processes while identifying opportunities for improvement. The role offers opportunities for professional development to increase knowledge and map career progression. You will also provide deputy cover for Registration Officers regarding birth and death registrations and deputise for the Superintendent Registrar in taking notices of intention to marry or form a civil partnership.
Kingston Register Office serves customers registering births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and stillbirths. It also provides access to records and certificate copies. The service operates across two sites: the Guildhall in Kingston town centre and the Bereavement Office at Kingston Cemetery.
