About the Role
As Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Coordinator, you will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of both statutory and non-statutory Registration, Nationality & Bereavement Services within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. You will provide administrative support across all areas of the service in line with statutory legislation and local authority policies. Working collaboratively as part of a team, you will learn and support business processes while identifying opportunities for improvement. Professional development is encouraged to increase knowledge and support career progression.

Key responsibilities include providing deputy cover for Registration Officers in accordance with Registration legislation and local authority policies, including birth and death registrations, and deputising for the Superintendent Registrar when taking notices of intention to marry or form a civil partnerships.

Kingston Register Office serves customers registering births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships, and stillbirths. It also provides access to records and certificate ordering. The service operates across two sites: the Guildhall in Kingston town centre and the Bereavement Office at Kingston Cemetery.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in administrative roles within a statutory or customer service environment is desirable but not explicitly required. A willingness to learn and adapt to legislative requirements is essential.
