About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, provide mentorship to other engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable products aligned with business objectives.

You will be part of the Engineering Excellence domain, building internal tools, services, and infrastructure that enable engineering teams to ship safely and quickly. Your responsibilities include hands-on programming work such as coding, pair programming, mobbing, testing, and shipping functionality. Acting as a technical lead, you will work with Principal and Lead Engineers to design, build, and deliver platform capabilities for other teams. You will lead complex features from conception to completion with high quality and minimal oversight, mentor less-experienced engineers, and conduct thorough reviews of code and documentation.

Experience
- Writing and maintaining tests throughout the software development lifecycle at all levels
- Implementing continuous delivery practices to ship quality code safely and timely
- Contributing to system architecture decisions ensuring resiliency, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience with observability, metrics, CI/CD, data analysis, or shared developer tooling
- Mentoring and conducting thorough code and documentation reviews
- Leading complex features from conception to completion
- Working in autonomous, agile environments
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- AI-conscious, using tools like Copilot effectively and guiding others
- Enabler mindset, improving tooling, services, and documentation for other engineers

It is a plus if you have:
- Experience crafting modern .NET applications in C# and designing robust REST APIs
- Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud environments, specifically Azure
- Polyglot engineering skills with pragmatic system thinking
- Experience contributing to engineering principles and technical direction across teams
- Experience recruiting and onboarding engineers
