About the Role
Reporting directly to the Co-founder/CEO, you will support the Womenswear Design Manager throughout the end-to-end design process for womenswear collections. You will also coach and guide the wider design team to deliver outstanding results aligned with the Jaded London brand.
Your responsibilities include researching and creating moodboards to identify new trends for upcoming collections, holding design meetings in the absence of the design lead, and regularly presenting to internal teams. You will attend sign-off meetings with the design lead to present products to co-founders and other stakeholders, organise and participate in design and factory trips, and design and develop samples during these visits.
You will work closely with the design lead to analyse best sellers and slow sellers, generating ideas for move-ons, re-colours, and identifying missed opportunities. Sourcing fabrics and trims with factories, creating sketch technical drawings and CADs, and advising junior team members with technical guidance will be key parts of your role. You will also work out print placements, set up tech packs for factories, brief freelance designers, and chase new branding developments with factories.
Collaboration with the senior menswear designer and the social team to gather new ideas and feedback for design ranges will be essential. You will assist on special projects such as collaborations and support the technical process by maintaining the critical path throughout the design cycle, chasing samples daily, attending fit sessions to provide improvement feedback, and updating workbooks with fit comments.
General office and design duties include keeping fabric swatches, trim samples, and fit samples organised, as well as regularly reviewing samples to add to the Depop box.
Experience
Proven experience in womenswear design with strong skills in creating sketched CADs and technical drawings for factories. Confident working at a fast pace and managing print placements for production. Experience coaching and managing junior team members is essential.
About you
Trend-focused with a keen eye for detail and a great understanding of the Jaded London brand and customer. You are capable of working autonomously, making strong creative decisions, and adapting flexibly to the needs of the team. A strong team player who is passionate about the brand and its success.
Qualifications
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, CAD, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant design software.
