About the Role
Join us in shaping the future of adult education in the community! We are seeking two Sessional Tutors to join the City of London Corporation’s Adult Education Service team. The roles are workplace based with no option to work from home. You will deliver high-quality teaching and support to adult learners within the community setting, focusing on Teaching & Learning Assistant and Domestic Energy Assessor specialisms. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, assessing, and supporting learner progression to ensure an engaging and personalised learning experience. You will deliver dynamic lessons, conduct assessments and progress reviews, manage course materials via the Adult Skills and Education Service platforms, mark and provide feedback on learner work, prepare learners for examinations if required, liaise with colleagues to support learner progression, and contribute to course and curriculum development using innovative teaching methods including e-learning.
Experience
Relevant experience in adult teaching and support roles, with expertise in your teaching specialism. Experience working with adult learners from diverse educational backgrounds is essential.
About you
A passionate educator committed to adult learning, with strong communication skills both written and oral. Proficient in IT and digital learning platforms, able to assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Creative problem solver with a commitment to innovation in teaching. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications
Teaching qualification (FE/Adult/Vocational or Community) is required. This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check with adult’s barred list. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
