About the Role
As Social Media Channel Specialist for ITCG at Canon, you will lead the execution of Canon’s organic social strategy for consumer and business imaging and printing categories across central channels. Your role will focus on driving performance through data-led planning, content coordination, and platform optimization. You will support product launches, campaign activations, and social commerce initiatives while enabling local NSO teams across CCMS and ITCG Marketing. Collaboration with CCMS ensures strategic alignment with Canon’s brand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead organic social media planning and execution for ITCG campaigns and product launches across platforms including TikTok, Meta (Instagram & Facebook), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube
- Use performance data and audience insights to optimize campaign assets and improve KPIs
- Coordinate content creation and publishing using Sprout Social, ensuring alignment with brand tone and strategic objectives
- Provide creative direction and feedback to agencies, creators, and internal teams
- Monitor performance using Google Analytics 4 and social listening tools, delivering actionable insights
- Manage ITCG social media assets, ensuring consistent brand voice and timely community engagement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Corporate Communications, DSO, Product Marketing, Legal/IP, and NSO teams
- Manage budgets efficiently, tracking spend and optimizing resource allocation
- Pilot social commerce initiatives and collaborate with NSOs and retail partners to drive sales impact
Experience
- Proven experience managing multi-platform social campaigns aligned with commercial and brand goals
- Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices, especially LinkedIn for professional engagement
- Experience coordinating content with agencies, creators, and internal teams
- Skilled in community management and organic content planning across central and local teams
- Familiarity with social commerce strategies and conversion-focused content
- Experience managing social media accounts and digital campaigns, including TikTok content creation and editing
- Experience managing agency teams and campaign budgets
- Proficiency with tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and social media analytics platforms
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of SEO, content marketing principles, influencer marketing, and affiliate campaigns
