About the Role
We are seeking experienced qualified Social Workers to join our Preparing for Adulthood Service (PfA) within Adult Social Care at Hackney Council. This dynamic, integrated multi-disciplinary community service provides specialist health and social care services to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in Hackney.
As a Social Worker in PfA, you will support adults, young people, and families by applying professional curiosity, legislation, and policy to achieve the best outcomes for our residents. Our service is passionate about supporting young people aged 18-21 to lead lives of their choice, maximising independence and promoting wellbeing through a strength-based, trauma-informed, and inclusive approach.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, and speech and language therapy. The role offers opportunities to engage in a wide range of social work activities from Care Act (2014) assessments and safeguarding to complex court of protection work and mental health admissions.

Experience
Applicants must be experienced qualified Social Workers. Newly qualified social workers are encouraged to register interest for future opportunities but this recruitment is for experienced candidates only.
