About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join its Children and Young Adults with Disabilities Service (0-25). This role involves being an allocated Social Worker within the Children's Team, working with children aged 0-18 years. The position requires expertise in working with Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Children Looked After (CLA), and children involved in public care proceedings, as well as those subject to private law proceedings when directed by the Court. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, monitoring, and review of all allocated disabled children, young adults, and their families. Additionally, you will implement appropriate care packages to promote the welfare of disabled children, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately.

Experience
- Casework responsibility for direct work with children and families within a statutory fieldwork setting(s).
- Experience in disabilities is advantageous.
- Experience of user consultation and participation focusing on the needs of service users and carers.
About You
- Ability to build empathetic and supportive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Clear and direct communication skills, both verbal and written, including the use of interpreters and translators when required.
- Ability to make accurate and timely case recordings.
- Ability to travel for business purposes.
Qualifications
- Recognised professional Social Work qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
