Retention Bonus: £2,000 per year paid in two instalments of £1,000

About the Role
Reporting to the Permanence & Post Order Advanced Practitioner/Team Manager, you will hold a caseload of assessments and/or support cases within the Permanence and Post Order Support Team. You will ensure that necessary assessments (Viability, Regulation 24 & 25, Connected Person, Special Guardianship Order) are completed to a high standard within court timelines, based on sound judgement and decision making, safeguarding children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance, exemplify best practice, and apply professional rigour to assessment and support cases. Attendance at the Practice Support Group is required, where you will provide professional advice and case-related guidance to social workers and other professionals, sharing knowledge, skills, and behaviours to develop the practice of others.
The role requires maintaining accurate case-related records.

Note: This role does not provide Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold UK work authorisation that does not require sponsorship.

Experience
- Professional registration with Social Work England
- Experience completing relevant assessments
- Knowledge of fostering, connected carers, and Special Guardianship areas

About You
Demonstrates expert and best practice in managing assessment and support cases of varying complexity. Able to manage risks effectively and provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues. Committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and able to work within safer recruitment practices.
Strong knowledge of social work theories and models, incorporating these into professional practice and team discussions.
