We are seeking highly talented and ambitious registered Social Workers to join our Referral and Assessment Service and be part of our journey to excellence. Bromley is committed to making children and young people in the Borough its top priority.

This role involves working within one of six teams, each led by a team manager and consisting of five social workers. The teams receive all new referrals from the Bromley MASH and undertake Child and Family assessments to determine how best children’s needs can be met. Social workers go onto duty for one week every six weeks to receive new allocations.

Bromley has invested significantly in staffing to ensure manageable caseloads, with Referral and Assessment Social Workers carrying an average of 8 families. Our social workers are positive, motivated and able to deliver high-quality social work interventions.

As part of the Bromley Promise, you will benefit from a dedicated two-week induction programme and work within small teams supported by accessible senior managers. You will have dedicated time for quality and reflective 1-1 supervision with your manager.

We work within a relationship-based practice framework and seek a social worker passionate about working with children and families, able to build strong relationships with families and professionals to bring about positive change.

Our values and behaviours underpin how we work and engage with partners to deliver excellent services.
