We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our amazing retail Culinary team at a leading global investment bank in Central London. The purpose of the role is to assist with the safe supervision, alongside and in the absence of the Head Chef, of all food production preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained at all times. Key responsibilities include ensuring food production standards, costs, and menu planning are carried out in a timely fashion, assisting the Head Chef with compiling food orders, developing new food concepts and menu ideas, and actively participating in menu engineering. You will also inspire, motivate, and mentor junior members of the team while promoting and maintaining a safe working environment.
Experience
Experience in a previous role, ideally in a contract catering environment.
About you
You have a good understanding of Food, Health & Safety, including allergens and nutritional information. You can prioritize your workload, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and have a passion for food with innovative ideas. Good team management skills are essential.
Qualifications
There are no specific qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is advantageous.
