Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef, ensuring food safety at all times
- Manage your station, overseeing production of assigned dishes, maintaining supplies and cleanliness in line with policies
- Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, focusing on presentation and taste
- Collaborate positively with team members and support colleagues as needed, including coaching junior chefs
- Work with the head chef on menu development, tasting new recipes and suggesting improvements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and ensure equipment is in good working order
Experience
Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or in a similar role
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
