About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are recruiting for a manager to lead the Southwark Information, Advice, and Support (SIAS) service. In this role, you will coordinate the SIAS Team to support Southwark families in accessing Special Educational Needs (SEN) services. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that parents and young people have access to comprehensive information, advice and guidance in relation to SEND, building partnerships with parents, carers, schools, and professionals, delivering training sessions to key stakeholders, and supporting the professional development of a team of SIAS advisors.

About the Team
As SIAS Manager, you will lead a high-performing team providing information, advice, and guidance to families and young people navigating the SEND system. You will build strong relationships with staff, customers, and partner services, develop the service including the Local Offer to meet evolving needs, participate in strategic partnerships, and ensure effective performance management.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEND (ages 0-25) and their families across education, health, and social care. Comprehensive knowledge of SEND services, legislation, and statutory processes with practical application.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ongoing professional training and development. Ability to lead and motivate a team while building strong partnerships with parents, carers, schools, and professionals.
