About the Role
Are you ready to help the world take better care of its resources and contribute to genuine ecological transformation? Veolia is seeking a talented Spatial & Sustainability Manager to join a large data and analytics function within a leading environmental company. In this key role, you will work on large public sector tenders and projects, identifying the most cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions for deploying resources.
You will model various resourcing scenarios for municipal waste collection and street cleansing tenders, using GIS software to spatially analyse datasets such as LLPG, OS AddressBase, and ITN to determine key metrics and complete sensitivities. You will assess client tender documents to identify specific requirements and complexities, adapt SQL queries to gather business data, and combine results into Excel models to predict waste flow and calculate resource levels and optimal service methodologies.
Collaboration is essential as you engage proactively with operational teams and colleagues to collect key data, validate modelling outputs, and improve processes. You will present analytical findings to senior management and external clients, conduct high-level carbon modelling (Scope 1, 2, and limited Scope 3 emissions), automate data processing where appropriate, and work with internal data and GIS teams to enhance datasets and analytical workflows.
Staying current with industry developments, policy changes, and best practices will be part of your role, helping Veolia deliver growth through winning large public sector contracts and driving ecological transformation.
