About the Role
This full-time Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Student role involves 52 weeks of study, with 45 weeks spent in education and clinical practice within Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Young Greenwich School Nursing. You will be based at one of the youth hubs, supported by a nominated Practice Supervisor and overseen by a Practice Assessor throughout your placement and study period. Young Greenwich is an integrated programme commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, designed to support young people holistically by working with them to facilitate their personal, social, and educational aspirations. The programme aims to develop young people's voices and help them reach their full potential. It is led by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), forming the Young Greenwich Partnership. The programme delivers services seamlessly in and out of schools, youth hubs, and other community venues, providing strong pathways for school-age pupils into community-based activities and support.

Experience
Experience in community or school nursing is advantageous but not essential as full training and support will be provided throughout the programme.

You should be motivated to work with young people and committed to supporting their holistic development. You will be enthusiastic about learning and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills and a passion for community health are essential.
