About the Role
As a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist within the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, you will be accountable to the Therapies Manager and contribute to the School Aged team by developing, testing, and implementing innovative ways of working. You will ensure that the service provided is integrated within relevant multi- and uni-disciplinary care pathways, evidence-based, and delivered in accordance with established care pathways and protocols. Your role will be responsive to the needs of the local population. You will assess, diagnose, manage, and evaluate outcomes for children and young people presenting with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties, some of which may be highly complex. Additionally, you will hold an area of special interest within your clinical caseload and be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating specialist teaching packages within this caseload.
Experience
Experience working with children and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties, including complex cases, is essential. Experience in developing and implementing specialist teaching packages is desirable.

You will be a motivated and innovative therapist with the ability to work collaboratively within multi- and uni-disciplinary teams. You should be committed to delivering evidence-based care that meets the needs of the local population and be adaptable to new ways of working.
Qualifications
Qualified Speech & Language Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and ideally with additional specialist training or experience relevant to the role.
