About the Role
The AWS Industries Customer Acceleration Team is building a pioneering Security Services Solutions Architect function dedicated to the largest and most complex enterprise customers globally. This founding role partners 1:1 with a dedicated Security Specialist Seller, owning architecture and customer outcomes across a named portfolio of top customers.

You will serve as the long-term security architect for enterprise customers within one to two industry verticals, designing solutions across detection and response, identity governance, data protection, and network security. Engaging CISOs and security engineering leaders as a trusted technical peer, you will lead architecture reviews, security assessments, and proof-of-concept guidance.

Your mission includes driving measurable adoption of the AWS Security Services portfolio such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Detective, IAM Identity Center, Macie, Security Lake, Network Firewall, WAF, and emerging capabilities. You will also help customers secure their generative AI and agentic AI workloads by architecting security controls that keep pace with their innovation velocity.

As this team is pre-playbook, the engagement models you build and the wins you deliver will become the foundation as the function scales. You will translate field patterns and customer friction into structured product feedback that shapes the AWS security services roadmap.

A typical day might include collaborating with a Financial Services CISO to consolidate multiple security vendors into a unified posture management framework, guiding a Healthcare engineering team on securing AI workloads, and drafting insights for product teams based on customer patterns. No two days are the same, but depth and follow-through are constant.

You will join a newly formed team within AWS Industries focused on accelerating enterprise customer adoption of AWS security services by pairing deep technical expertise with a dedicated commercial go-to-market motion. Customers span Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Manufacturing, Energy, Telecommunications, Media, and Retail, navigating complex challenges such as securing AI at scale and evolving identity models.

Experience
- Proven experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Background in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
- Skilled at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders
- Experience in IT development, implementation, or consulting within software or Internet industries
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures
- Comfortable presenting and engaging with executives, IT management, and developers

Qualifications
- Preferred experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Equivalent professional or military experience is also valued
