About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Administrator to support the delivery of grant programmes, community asset processes and wider business support activities within the Strategy, Engagement, Culture and Sustainability team. This role plays a key part in strengthening Barnet's voluntary, community and faith sector (VCFS), helping local organisations access funding, demonstrate their impact and make the most of community assets. You will provide financial and administrative support across a range of programmes, ensuring applications, payments, monitoring data and records are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with colleagues, community organisations and stakeholders, you will deliver excellent customer service and ensure robust governance and compliance. This is a fixed term contract for 2 years, open exclusively to redeployees within Barnet Council at Grade E or Grade F.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience providing administrative and business support including data management, minute taking, report writing, customer service and handling confidential information. Experience managing financial records and monitoring information, ensuring accuracy, compliance and up-to-date systems and documentation.

About You
Excellent administrator with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and delivering high standards of service. Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, community organisations and external stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and a professional approach. Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing demands. Understanding of the voluntary, community and faith sector is beneficial but not essential. Commitment to delivering excellent services, supporting communities and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications required; however, relevant administrative or financial qualifications would be advantageous. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
