We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Strategy & Improvement Lead to join our Corporate Strategy & Partnerships Service. In this role, you will lead the council’s work in building and strengthening relationships across the borough – from anchor institutions and businesses to voluntary and community groups – to drive forward our shared ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilise partnerships to deliver the Our Tower Hamlets 2035 ambitions, working across sectors to develop shared solutions to complex challenges.
- Build and broker relationships with anchor institutions, businesses, community organisations, and residents to co-design and deliver impactful initiatives.
- Coordinate strategic partnerships by managing the Partnership Executive Group, bringing together key stakeholders to improve Tower Hamlets.
- Strengthen partnerships to ensure alignment with the borough’s vision, effective operation, and impact measurement.
- Represent the Council in key forums and partnerships to shape policy and attract investment into the borough.
- Enable neighbourhood working by supporting services and communities to collaborate locally and tailor support to area needs.
- Translate strategic priorities into action by helping partners and services align their work with the vision and deliver real change on the ground.
- Lead the Council’s strategic partnership function and manage the partnership team.
Experience
- Proven experience of enabling and driving cross-sector collaborations that deliver social impact.
- Strong political awareness and ability to navigate complex organisational and stakeholder environments.
- Confidence in using data and insight to inform strategy and solve problems.
