We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Strategy & Policy Officer to join our Corporate Strategy & Partnerships Service. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the development of strategy and policy to achieve the borough’s ambitions and managing high-impact strategic projects that improve the lives of residents.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a borough-wide movement for change, helping to shape how we work together, tackle inequality, and improve lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategy and policy by working with key stakeholders to achieve the borough’s ambitions.
- Support delivery of strategic projects with council services and key partners aligned to shared priorities.
- Translate strategic priorities into action by helping partners and services align their work with the vision to deliver real change on the ground.
- Mobilise partnerships across sectors to develop shared solutions to complex challenges and deliver the Our Tower Hamlets 2035 ambitions.
- Support innovation and learning by creating space for experimentation, sharing lessons, and scaling up successful initiatives.
- Champion equity and inclusion, ensuring work reflects the borough’s diversity and addresses systemic inequalities.

Experience
Experience in strategy and policy development, project management, or partnership working is desirable. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to deliver complex projects and initiatives is important.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in public policy, social sciences, or related fields are desirable but not essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
