About the Role
The Student Enterprise Practitioner is a key member of the Enterprise team at London Metropolitan University, supporting the development and delivery of both embedded and extracurricular Student Enterprise initiatives. This role is central to engaging students, graduates, staff, and external partners in developing entrepreneurial skills and thinking, supporting the creation of new ventures, and sharing knowledge across the University community. The post holder will contribute to the strategic growth of enterprise activity and help enhance the University’s reputation for enterprise and entrepreneurship.
A core aspect of the role is ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of Student Enterprise initiatives, including organising and delivering workshops, coordinating events such as the annual Christmas markets, and developing engaging activities within the University’s dedicated coworking space for students and graduates. The Student Enterprise Practitioner will also build strong networks with practitioners, businesses, and community partners to create opportunities that directly benefit students and graduates.
The role involves providing one-to-one guidance to students and recent graduates as they develop their businesses, freelance careers, or start-up ventures. The post holder will oversee a mentoring programme, ensuring meaningful connections between students and experienced entrepreneurs. They will support academic colleagues in embedding enterprise within the curriculum and contribute to communications campaigns and events that raise the profile of student enterprise at the University.

The post combines programme delivery, tailored student support, and strategic input to strengthen Enterprise activity across the University.
Experience
Experience in enterprise, entrepreneurship, or student support roles is desirable. Proven ability to organise and deliver workshops and events is beneficial. Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with external organisations is advantageous.

Enthusiastic and proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to engage and motivate students and graduates from diverse backgrounds. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. A collaborative team player who can work effectively with academic colleagues and external partners.
Qualifications
A relevant degree or equivalent experience in enterprise, business, education, or a related field is preferred. Additional qualifications or training in entrepreneurship, project management, or student support would be an advantage.
