About the Role
The Supplier & Stock Compliance team is responsible for ensuring effective supplier compliance and stock controls across the Argos operation. As a Supplier & Stock Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting stock integrity and ensuring supplier compliance across the Argos supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers, Commercial teams, Logistics & Fulfilment Centres, and operational stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and support the controls that underpin a successful operation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the stock blackline process, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and maintaining supplier compliance standards. You will analyse compliance and stock data to identify trends and opportunities, providing meaningful insights that support better decision-making and operational performance. Additionally, you will coordinate supplier compliance development activities, support audits and compliance reviews, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve supplier performance. Throughout your work, you will build strong relationships across the business and with external suppliers to ensure stock is managed effectively and in line with agreed standards. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the opportunity to contribute to a digital-led UK retailer that serves millions of customers through multiple channels and brands.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience working within an operational, supply chain, stock management, compliance or loss prevention environment.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insight.
- Experience identifying trends, risks and opportunities through the analysis of operational or compliance data.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- High levels of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- A passion for continuous improvement and delivering better outcomes for colleagues and customers.

About you
You enjoy getting into the detail, diplomatically solving problems and using data to drive action. You are naturally curious, analytical and able to turn complex information into clear insight and recommendations. You are comfortable working across multiple priorities and building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Whether investigating stock issues, analysing performance trends or supporting compliance improvements, you bring a proactive, engaging and organised approach to your work. Most importantly, you are passionate about improving processes, reducing operational pain points and finding opportunities to make things simpler for colleagues, better for customers and more effective for the business.

Qualifications
We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. While specific qualifications are not detailed, a strong analytical mindset, relevant experience, and a commitment to continuous development are essential.
