Hours
37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 08:00 - 21:30, approximately 3 shifts per week. Flexibility is required as you may be asked to work outside these hours including weekends and bank holidays depending on service and resident needs.

Salary
£28,800 per annum

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) on day shifts with a rolling rota. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. Your role will involve creating tailored support plans, identifying residents' needs, goals, and skills, and motivating them to reach their potential. You will encourage engagement in activities and the community, provide tools for life skills, and ensure effective risk management with a strong focus on public protection. The team works closely together to achieve overall service KPIs, and you will be part of making a meaningful difference. Every day is different, making this role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities Include
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
Engaging with residents to ensure adherence to their license conditions, including planning activities to connect them with others, communities, and opportunities
Being a reliable team member by completing handovers for night colleagues to ensure seamless service
Building trusting professional relationships with residents to help them achieve their goals through tailored one-to-one sessions, group activities, and wellbeing check-ins
Empowering residents to take control of their lives and meet personal goals

Experience
Experience working with people from complex backgrounds including ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, or challenging behaviours is desirable. Understanding of the criminal justice sector is important. Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise effectively using initiative is required.

Qualifications
IT proficiency including basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software programs is required. Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice, and mental health is desirable.
