Systems Manager (Maintenance Services)

London (Stratford), Manchester (Trafford) - Agile working with 20% in office. There is a business need to be in the Stratford, London office every 2 weeks for meetings and collaborative working.

Salary
£61,000 to £70,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £53,345 to £62,345 per annum (Regional salary), dependent on experience
About the Role
Join London and Quadrant Housing Trust's Service Improvement and Programme Management Team as a Systems Manager within one of the largest in-house repairs teams in the housing sector. This is a pivotal role supporting the upgrade and ongoing management of core systems including Advanced DRS, Total Repair/Total Mobile, and soon Total Connect, ensuring these products effectively support the Direct Maintenance workforce. Reporting to the Head of Service Improvement and Programme Management, you will lead a team of four and play a hands-on technical, project management, and leadership role to maintain workforce productivity.
Your key responsibilities include ensuring timely identification, reporting, and resolution of system issues by liaising with internal Technology teams and external suppliers; managing small ad-hoc system configuration changes and project-based improvements; and maintaining accurate system duties and staff data changes. You will work closely with operational technicians, management staff, the corporate Technology department, Reporting and Service Improvement teams, and other Direct Maintenance operational teams to deliver seamless system support and enhancements.

Experience
- Expert knowledge of maintenance business systems, integrations, and application features including Total Connect, Total Repairs, Total Mobile, Advanced DRS, and the ability to learn the in-house system Arena.
- Proven experience in people and performance management, able to direct, motivate, and empower staff.
- Demonstrated project management skills overseeing technical and business systems projects, improvements, and enhancements.
- Experience managing technical and systems support teams and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong impact analysis skills to assess effects of proposed business process and technology changes.
- Knowledge of key systems data structures and reporting capabilities, with practical ability to read and write SQL syntax.
- High computer literacy with intermediate skills in MS Office and collaborative working tools.
- Experience or knowledge of housing management or similar environments, including in-house repairs services and electronic materials replenishment platforms.
- Demonstrable influencing skills to prioritise IT resourcing requests effectively.
- Procedure definition and documentation skills with good document management practices.
- Effective organisational skills to handle ad-hoc and project requests and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to prepare influential business cases using data and business systems information.
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
