An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Redden Court School, a high achieving, successful, well-ordered and caring mixed comprehensive school for students aged eleven to sixteen. This fixed term maternity cover role starts January 2027 and offers the chance to be part of a forward-thinking school that celebrates success for all, developing the talents of students and staff alike.

Our English Faculty is an innovative team of 10 with expertise in English Language, Literature, Film Studies, Drama and Journalism. We pride ourselves on sharing our love of literary traditions and writers’ craft to enthuse our students. We have dedicated English classrooms including a well-stocked library with engaging and aspirational reads.

The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English to an outstanding standard. We are a collegiate team intent on creating a dynamic learning journey within English and welcome a colleague who embraces creative teaching and learning. Experience teaching both English Language and Literature is expected. Applications from ECTs, recently qualified and experienced teachers are welcomed.

Experience
