About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusive Learning Team Leader to join our Inclusive Learning Department. You will coordinate the delivery of learner support alongside two other managers, ensuring that learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive appropriate, effective and timely support to achieve their aspirations. You will play a key role in safeguarding, wellbeing, staff coordination and the ongoing development of the Inclusive Learning service.

Your responsibilities will include assessing and identifying the support needs of learners with a range of disabilities, medical conditions, mental health difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders; coordinating and arranging appropriate learner support including specialist agency staff and Learning Support Assistants; line managing and coordinating the daily activities of Learning Support Assistants and Work Experience Learning Support Assistants; ensuring learners' needs identified within EHCPs and SEN Support Plans are appropriately met and monitored; carrying out and coordinating relevant risk assessments in conjunction with teaching and Health & Safety colleagues; liaising with external agencies, HR, teaching staff and other departments to ensure effective learner support; providing induction, guidance and training to support staff and colleagues working with learners with additional needs; monitoring, reviewing and contributing to EHCP annual reviews, learner feedback, service plans and quality improvement activity; maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective management, collation and analysis of learner support data for educational and funding purposes; supporting safeguarding and learner wellbeing including signposting learners to appropriate services and organisations; ensuring appropriate examination arrangements and other reasonable adjustments are implemented; contributing to the planning, implementation and review of the Inclusive Learning service with an understanding of High Needs Funding and relevant legislation; and working closely with the SENCO and wider College teams to ensure effective planning and delivery of inclusive support.

This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and includes enhanced DBS and other employment checks. The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners and expects staff to share this commitment.

Experience
Proven experience in coordinating learner support for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Experience in line management and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications and experience in education, inclusive learning or a related field are desirable. You must be willing to undertake mandatory safeguarding training and comply with all College policies related to equality, diversity and inclusion.
