About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational Team Manager to lead our Support and Wellbeing Service for older residents living in sheltered housing and community-based good neighbour schemes. Reporting to the Head of Service, you will provide leadership to Hub Coordinators and Support and Wellbeing Officers, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing. You will be responsible for driving service performance, monitoring key performance indicators, managing complaints, overseeing support planning and risk management, and ensuring the service meets recognised quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to shape service delivery, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to strategic planning across Housing Management.

You will join a dedicated and passionate team committed to improving outcomes for older people across the borough. Working closely with Hub Coordinators, Support and Wellbeing Officers, Housing colleagues, health professionals, social care partners, and community organisations, the team delivers responsive support services that help residents remain safe, independent, and connected to their communities. The service is focused on collaboration, innovation, and achieving excellent outcomes for residents while maintaining high standards of performance and customer experience.

Experience
Substantial experience managing teams within housing, support, health, or social care environments. Proven ability to lead staff to deliver against challenging performance targets. Experience managing complex workloads, developing and reviewing policies and procedures, interpreting legislation and guidance, implementing service improvements, and leading organisational change.
About You
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and produce high-quality reports. Strong understanding of the health and social care agenda for older people, with the ability to translate legislation into practical action. Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and operational when required.
Qualifications
Not explicitly stated but relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in housing, social care, or related fields will be advantageous.
