We are hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead adoption of application security processes and improvements across internal customer teams. Engagement Managers proactively reach out to at-risk organizations to better understand their application security needs and develop statements of work (SOW) for security engineering teams to execute. With the assistance of Engagement Managers, the application security of internal organizations is improved long-term.

Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring successful delivery. This involves defining success criteria, developing and managing project governance plans, schedules, team goals, communication strategies, and milestones. You will collaborate with internal customers including senior business leaders, development teams, application security engineering teams, and other partner security teams to understand their needs and improve their security posture.

You will architect and manage internal scope of work documents with customers, clearly defining success criteria and timelines, holding all stakeholders accountable throughout the project lifecycle and escalating as necessary. Building and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders and security teams while advocating on behalf of customers to deliver on their security goals is essential.

Additional responsibilities include guiding the evolution and adoption of internal security support solutions, prioritizing work most beneficial to Amazon builders, using knowledge of software system design to scope architecture, reviewing threat models, educating customers on potential severity of security findings, and guiding developer and security engineering teams through remediation.

You will define and implement best practice methods, processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at scaling and increasing the efficiency of Amazon's security guidance and builder support processes. You will own the creation and delivery of business proposals and metrics to security leadership, proactively identify and manage program risk, and work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

This role requires influencing, negotiating, resolving conflicts, and achieving results through others who are not direct reports. Fostering a positive work environment by leveraging skills in active listening, encouraging diverse perspectives, and adapting to a variety of personality types is also important.

Experience
- Building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
- Program management, technical program management, or related fields
