About the Role

We are looking for reliable and experienced Traffic Marshalls to join our team on construction and commercial sites across the UK.

As a Traffic Marshall, you will be responsible for managing vehicle and pedestrian movements around site, helping to maintain a safe and organised working environment. You will work closely with site management, drivers and other trades to ensure vehicles enter, exit and move around the site safely.

Important to Know

• Previous Traffic Marshall or Banksman experience is preferred
• CSCS card may be required depending on the site
• Traffic Marshall/Banksman qualification is desirable
• Must be confident communicating with drivers and site personnel
• Work will primarily be outdoors and may involve working in all weather conditions
• Good awareness of site health and safety requirements is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicle movements on and around site
• Safely guide reversing vehicles using agreed hand signals and communication methods
• Manage site entrances and exits
• Control pedestrian and vehicle access where required
• Ensure vehicles follow site traffic management procedures
• Maintain safe separation between vehicles, pedestrians and site workers
• Communicate clearly with drivers, site operatives and management
• Monitor site access points and report any hazards or unsafe activity
• Assist with deliveries and unloading operations where required
• Keep traffic routes clear and safe
• Follow all site health and safety procedures
• Wear the correct PPE at all times
• Carry out other general site duties as required

• Previous experience as a Traffic Marshall, Banksman or similar role
• Good understanding of site safety and traffic management
• Traffic Marshall/Banksman qualification
• CSCS card where required
• Good communication skills
• Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy site environment
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

Desirable

• Construction site experience
• Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Additional site safety qualifications
• Experience working around heavy plant and construction vehicles
