About the Role
We are seeking engaging and committed individuals to join us as casual tutors to teach Bookkeeping at Levels 1, 2 & 3. You do not need to be able to teach all levels and are asked to specify any preference within your supporting statement. You will be passionate about your subject, have relevant industry experience, and be keen to inspire learners. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents in developing their skills and confidence in a subject relevant to everyday life and work.
Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education, based at the Old Court House in Grays. You will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, delivering lessons, marking learners’ work, and providing developmental feedback. Experience of teaching adults is desirable. A DBS check at Enhanced Level with Children's Barred List is required for this post.

Experience
Previous and relevant industry experience in bookkeeping is essential. Experience of teaching adults is desirable but not mandatory.

Passionate about bookkeeping and adult education, committed to inspiring learners, and able to plan and deliver engaging lessons. You should be adaptable to variable hours and able to work across multiple locations within Thurrock.
Qualifications
Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths are required. Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. You must have a qualification or relevant experience in bookkeeping or the subject you wish to teach.
