The role As a Vehicle Workshop Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an opportunity to help provide industry leading engineering and maintenance support to the London Fire Brigade. Day-to-day, you'll manage 10 employees, focussing on resource management, technical utilisation, workshop productivity, vehicle off road (VOR) reduction and health and safety policies and compliance. Inspecting vehicles and understanding requirements Issuing work Insuring work is carried out correctly - ensuring compliance to VOSA and CFOA Providing training where needed Continuous improvement This role is full time, 41.5 hours per week and is based on site at Ruislip. This is a shift role, one week on early shift (6am - 2.30pm) and the other on the late shift (1.30pm - 10pm). You would also be required to work 1 Saturday in 4. Essential experience of the Vehicle Workshop Supervisor Experience in repair of HGV Held a supervisory role in a LGV workshop environment Qualifications for the Vehicle Workshop Supervisor IMI level 3 IRTEC or HNC related certification Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
