£47,973 per annum plus car allowance of £6,452 per annum and mobile working allowance of £580
About the Role
As a Vocational Assessor – Construction Plant Operations at CITB’s National Construction College, you will support the development of apprentices and adult learners by assessing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours to ensure they meet industry standards and awarding organisation requirements. You will manage a cohort of learners, guiding them through their apprenticeship journey towards successful End Point Assessment (EPA) and/or SVQ achievement. Your responsibilities will include conducting workplace assessments, supporting Apprenticeship Development Coaches and Officers during reviews, maintaining communication with employers, liaising with college instructors to align learning, and providing constructive feedback to learners. You will monitor learner progress using Learner Management Systems such as Aptem, promote the development of English, maths, digital and personal skills, participate in learner-at-risk processes, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, maintain strong industry relationships, and stay updated with industry and educational developments through continuous professional development (CPD).
Additional Information
The role requires occasional visits to CITB/NCC training colleges at NCC East in Bircham Newton and NCC Scotland in Glasgow. The post holder is eligible for either a company car or a car allowance subject to CITB’s Car Policy compliance.

Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification relevant to Plant Operations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Level 3 teaching qualification or willingness to achieve within one year (desirable)
- Higher-level construction-related qualification (desirable)
- Level 5 teaching qualification (desirable)
