About the Role
Join our passionate team and help children, young people and families improve their health, wellbeing and life opportunities. As a Young Persons Substance Use - Health & Wellbeing Practitioner within Compass Safe East, you will provide support to children, young people and families across Tower Hamlets. The service offers advice, guidance and interventions on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, including emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, relationships, school challenges, substance use and access to specialist support. Using a person centred and trauma informed approach, you will undertake assessments, develop support plans and deliver one to one and group interventions. Working across schools, community settings and partner organisations, you will help young people build resilience, improve wellbeing and access the support they need to thrive. You will play an important role in delivering prevention and early intervention work while collaborating with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Experience
Experience working with children, young people and families in health, wellbeing or social care settings is desirable.

About you
You are compassionate, patient and able to build trusting relationships with young people. You have strong communication skills and a person centred, trauma informed approach. You are motivated to support young people to improve their health and wellbeing and able to work collaboratively with families and partner organisations.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in health, social care, youth work or related fields are preferred but not essential. A willingness to undertake further training and professional development is required.
