£49,155 - £51,228 per annum (P03). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point for the grade unless matching current salary with evidential proof.
About the Role
Join the Housing Services Directorate as an Accommodation Assessment & Lettings Team Leader managing a team of six officers responsible for providing suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. You will lead the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service for applicants eligible for homelessness assistance, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency. Your role includes overseeing the correct discharge of duty, enforcing offers of suitable accommodation, and ensuring all relevant tasks are completed accurately. This is an opportunity to shape strategies that positively impact clients in temporary accommodation within a vibrant and culturally diverse community.

Experience
Proven experience managing a team responsible for accommodation offers under S188 and S193, Part 6 & 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, and Localism Act 2011. Strong knowledge of the processes involved in offering suitable accommodation and issuing discharge of duty decisions.
