About the Role
UNIQLO, a leading brand of the Fast Retailing Group and one of the largest apparel retailers globally, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our European Head Office in London. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners across local and European markets. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise to drive financial control in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will ensure IFRS and J-SOX compliance across multiple markets, oversee quarterly and annual reporting and disclosures, and maintain financial control and balance sheet integrity for designated markets. Leading and developing Financial Accountants, you will provide coaching and support while reviewing and strengthening accounting processes and internal controls.

Partnering with Corporate Planning, Inventory Accuracy, Procurement, Stores, and Ecommerce teams, you will deliver valuable business insight and identify cost-saving opportunities. You will also collaborate with centralised Accounting and Accounts Payable teams to drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and influencing decision-making within a dynamic global organisation.

Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
- Excellent understanding of balance sheet and P&L accounting
- Audit background preferred, with additional commercial/in-house experience
- Experience leading, reviewing, and developing the work of others
- Experience working with outsourced or shared-service finance functions is advantageous
- Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities

About you
Proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Fluent English is required; additional European language skills are advantageous.

Qualifications
Qualified accountant designation (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is essential.
